Hey Brit!. This is your bro Eric. I am not the international traveler that you are and have only traveled the east coast but one place that Angel, the kids and I love is Ocracacoke (sp) Island in the Outer Banks of NC. The island can only be reached by farry and has the best beaches on the east coast imho, and if you go before or after summer vacation, it is not that crowded.
