If you keep this up (the writing), you are going to have the best written, most interesting sailing blog on line.
Just found your blog....hooked! Who is the photographer?? Your site is really set apart and ahead of so many! Your spirit and enthusiasm is infectious!
I know I've said this before but I totally admire what you're doing with your life.. makes me think I've made some wrong choices along the way and I've NEVER really thought that about my life, I just love that you are really living yours to the fullest!
Great blog...you're an inspiration to my family and I! We've seen plenty of "round the world" blogs but it's nice to see a fellow Great Lakes' boat heading out.
Thoroughly enjoying your posts... they seem more fun, raw and edgier than the average sailing blog.
I love your website and make a visit everyday.
I am really enjoying the chance to live vicariously through you by reading your blog. You have a gift for writing, and certainly the ability to make lemonade out of lemons.
I am addicted to Windtraveler!
You guys are hot!
Your blog is a cut above the rest - not the usual "this is what we did" style, more insightful and better written - I look forward to your posts every single day!
I'm totally hooked and now I've got my family following too. I LOVE this adventure that you two are taking on... I feel like I'm on the trip with you (I wish).
I read a lot of sailing blogs and yours is my absolute favorite. Keep it up!
First, I enjoy your blog. You're doing virtually everything right with the design, the look and feel, the organization, etc. The pictures help tell the story and are well done. And Brittany, you have a flare for writing. I would have hired you in a second in my old days in the magazine and newspaper business. You have clear talent. And I know because I have worked with some of the best writers and journalists in the country.
I think Windtraveler over coffee in the morning should be a USDA recommendation- food for the soul :)
North American Sailor had this to say about us!
So here I am, wading through and absorbing your experiences from the beginning of your blog. Brittany, I am completely and utterly inspired by what I continue to read about you and Scott. Here I am at 50, contemplating what the hell I am doing in an office and why I haven't cast off the bowlines with my wife yet. I feel like I already know you guys and we will probably never meet. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your adventures for now!
I follow a LOT of sailing blogs right now and your's is the absolute best. Inspiring, witty, well-written and so much more than most sailing blogs. It's no wonder you're getting the publicity you are! Keep it up. I am hooked.
My old dreams (from 8th grade at least) of cruising on my own terms have arisen again, and in no small part due to your blog. I just wanted to let you know that you and your whole family are an inspiration to me and the catalyst for me pursuing my dreams.
Just wanted to tell you that your site has been a pleasure to read and follow. It's great to read about current happenings. Most of the cruising sites are dated or written by people we have nothing in common with. We have found yours to be loaded with excellent advice and common sense information.
Keep the great comments and emails coming friends - we *love* to hear from you!
