If You Emailed Us...

We are now back in the land of wifi (for an afternoon at least) and I am desperately trying to use this time to not only re-provision our boat with fresh goods (and a few staples) but to write a blog post or two.  I am also here to tell you (as pretentious and ridiculous as it may sound), that I don't think I can keep up with my inbox any longer.  Yes, friends, I am waving the white flag of email ineptness.

Up until now, I have been very proud of the fact that I respond personally to each and every email we get (minus spam, of course).  I've always been a bit of a procrastinator on this front (wince) and once we started getting more than five emails a day, they would pile up and get a little overwhelming but I would always find a day to "catch up" and get back to everybody.  But now that we're underway and our days don't included hours of internet time, I just don't think this is possible.  So.... if you wrote us I am sorry to say you might not get an email back for a very long time.

I want you to know that we love hearing from you and your emails mean the world to me, so by all means - feel free to continue to write us with your stories, questions and regards.  But please, be patient, and don't expect a response for at least a month (probably more).  Now that we're underway, I just don't have the time (or internet signal) to accomplish a good inbox clearing.  As you can see - at this very moment I have 87 emails to respond to (yes, that has been spam filtered, those are from actual people!) and I just don't have the time.

Sorry to waste a whole blog post on such a silly subject, but I felt compelled to let those of you kind folks who have written us know that your emails are not ignored and are totally appreciated, but I just can't keep up these days and will catch up when (and if) I can.

Thanks for understanding.  Back to speed blogging before we raise anchor again....

Rather than respond to this post with a comment, I sent an email (j/k!). I'm sure your loyal readership understands the realities of a jammed inbox and sporadic wifi.
